When I create artwork the veils are peeled back revealing non-ordinary reality. Born in 1989 in Toronto, Canada. Studied video arts, sonic and experimental arts at the Ontario College of Art and Design. I am a self taught painter by looking inward. Images are crafted to reveal unknown possibilities and potentials for comprehending the mind's power. These strange works catalyzed by paranormal experiences of complete bizarreness have continued to resurrect the foundation of my psyche. Recounting each vision as best portrayed through the image. Art as a means of coping with the complex nature of existence.

Taste the departure from innocence.

Can you tell us a bit more about your background and how you became an artist?
I was born in Toronto, Canada and my art grew from childhood. Twisted images scrawled across any blank surface I could grasp, while creatures showed me their world and permeated mine. Due to the encouragement of fellow contemporary artists who value the visions I need to share, I was able to exhibit my work around the world and gave great fortitude to my effort of being a messenger of the divine. This process of creating became easier for me, translating from the portals in my head to a physical image through practice of technical artistic skills, including the art of magick.

Which artists have inspired you in your creative process?
Last year, I was in an exhibit with H. R. Giger's art shortly after his passing to the underworlds. As someone who has seen Hell, the images he conjured helped me understand the path of beauty within horror and how learning from that invokes personal evolution. The honor of having my art hung along with his inspired me to keep going down the dark road.  Some of my other favorite artists are Aubrey Beardsley, Marjorie Cameron, Aleister Crowley, Austin Ausman Spare, William Blake, Hieronymus Bosch, Mark Ryden, Marilyn Manson, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Kenneth Anger, Leonora Carrington and Zdzisław Beksiński. I love artists who share the pursuit to create automatically and let the spirits flow through their work which results in magnificent otherworldly manifestations that cause the viewer to question ordinary reality.

What is your creative process like and how has the occult been an inspiration when shaping you art?
My art is witchcraft and it has become more refined as I've studied ceremonial magick for the past 8 years. Whenever I set to painting,  I will go into a trance like state and begin pulling forward images out of the depths of a blank canvas. The piece will reveal to me how it wants to look and I usually have no idea what the final result will be. My art also reflects the occult practices that I am working with. Often you will find an interpretation of sigils from the Lesser or Greater Key of Solomon or elements of the Enochian system within my paintings because it is my way of enchanting the painting with spirits that I may be working with or sigils that I have created myself.

What do you feel makes your work unique and truly your own?
The artwork I make resonates because it is from my own subjective reality and I am always searching to find things people have not seen before. I reach into a place that exists beyond time and want to inspire people so that they may see the divine within themselves through my own expressions of love. The work I have done as an exorcist, a priestess and a seeker of light in the darkest places has formed a special perspective for my palette. This is part of causing the apocalypse, the revealing of that which is hidden through my hand.

How has your style changed over the years?
As the process of learning from the beyond has unfolded, my art has started to become more refined in my methods of channeling imagery. A spirit from the Goetia showed me how to construct a quartz necklace that I use to aid astral visions that I translate into paint. The fear I once had of these abominations has dissipated into wonder and glamour. In earlier art, I focused more on terrifying subject matter and now I see the same worlds and celebrate them. My ability to draw during ritual has also helped my style develop because it furthers the practice of letting entities work through me into art for others to find joy within and for everyone, including myself, to learn from. I left the cold north to live in California with my husband who is an artist and magician as well. His inspiration to my soul and support of me and my art has made following my spiritual purpose as an artist possible.

Anything else you wish to share with our readers?
I started making art to overcome fear of the unknown, the same reason I began to practice ceremonial magick. It has been a very bizarre and freaky journey and being able to share my artwork with others is the greatest pleasure, especially when it is a catalyst for more people to become creators.
